Punjab Infotech had earlier set up 9 subsidiary companies, 4 joint sector and 2 assisted sector companies engaged in areas like Telecommunication Equipments (Multiplexing, Radio, Large Switching Exchanges to name a few), Nickel Cadmium Batteries, UPS Systems, High precision Sheet Metal Components etc.

In Joint/assisted sector projects, the Corporation normally participates in the equity ranging from 5%-15% . However, depending on the project it can participate in the equity upto 49%.
