A Strong infrastructural support in Punjab provides very conducive atmosphere for industrial growth. The state has been rated as one of the best in relative industrial infrastructure in the country. Understanding the needs of the entrepreneurs and to facilitate the spirit of industry. Punjab Government provides self sufficient industrial Focal Points. These industrial hubs, consist of developed plots equipped with power substations and distribution network, telecommunication facilities, residential area for workers, common effluent treatment plants, premised carpeted rods with street lights, water supply, underground sewerage disposal and parks for a clean environment.

The role of area development has been assigned to PSIEC. It has developed more than 28 Focal Points and three Growth Centres. The state owned Corporation is engaged in developing a network of Focal Points and Growth Centres in a time bound programme. The effect is being further supplemented by inducting private entrepreneurs to attract investments in infrastructure development. The Corporation, in the future is looking to actively participate in complete industrial development in Punjab by continuously providing a support system to Small Scale industry units. It is working towards becoming the infrastructure provider in the State and is poised to give concrete shape of its vision of Punjab of tomorrow.
